California is a US state found along the Pacific Ocean, on the West Coast. It is considered as the US state with the highest population, with its four largest cities being San Jose, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and San Diego. It is also home to diverse races. California is considered as the 3rd largest state in the US in terms of land mass/area. California has a booming agricultural industry. Other industries found in the said state are: petroleum, aerospace, computer information technology, etc. California also belongs to the list of the 10 largest economies on earth.

Aside from the booming industries in California, the said state is also proud of having various endemic species that are rare to find such as the Catalina Ironwood. It is good to know that despite being very populated, California still has a great collection of flora like the oldest tree, the tallest, and the largest tree in the world. In terms of energy resources, California also boasts of having over a dozen of the largest oil fields in the US such as the Midway Sunset Oil Field. The deserts in California on the other hand are said to be high solar power potentials.

Truly California has a lot to be proud of but one thing it is not proud of would be the high crime rate in the said state. Crimes of property have the highest number of incidents reported in 2006. 1,156,017 incidents have been reported. Shoplifting is the most common property crime that takes place in California. Shoplifting is taking an item or product from a shop unlawfully. Being the most common of the property crimes, shoplifters are given serious penalties in California. For maximum security of more valuable items such as jewelries, watches, etc., keep them behind a locked case behind your counter. An unlocked case will still not prevent a shoplifter from taking the merchandise so make sure your display case is locked with those valuable items on it. That will definitely tell the shoplifters to “keep out!”

A great security system to install in your shop would be the Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) which is a system that works by affixing tags on your products which will be removed once the merchandise is purchased. If the tag is not deactivated/removed, once the shoplifter takes that and proceeds to the exit, the alarm of the store will be triggered, thus identifying the shoplifter. EAS is an expensive security system but is very effective.
