To protect your home from burglary, use high quality locks as well as solid doors to make it hard for the burglar to enter your home. These may be expensive but at least you get more protection. You should also not forget to lock your doors and take the house keys with you even if you’ll only be out of the house for a few minutes. As for your valuables, avoid placing them in plain view from the window especially those that can be grabbed or carried easily. Do not forget to secure your garage door especially when you are on vacation to another place as an empty garage will tell thieves that no one is home and they would be able to rob your house easily.

To protect yourself from being mugged/robbed while out, avoid walking alone especially during night time. It is best to always have someone to accompany you while walking off to some place.
