IDAHO
“Uncertainty is the only certainty there is, and knowing how to live with insecurity is the only security.”
- John Allen Paulos
The Pacific North westerner State of Idaho has an estimated population of one million, five hundred thousand [1,500,000]. Its largest city is Boise, this city, incidentally, is also the capital of the state. According to experts, Idaho’s name stemmed from the Indian root word “Ee-dah-ow” which means “Gem of the Mountains.” The explanation for the name is that it may be due to the state’s abundance in their natural resources. Its motto is Esto Perpetua the Latin translation of "Let it be forever".
Even in the Gem of Mountains, the commission of crimes by some is still a sad reality of life. In 2000, Idaho was ranked 39th based on the number of its population. It had an overall Crime Index of 3,186.2 incidents which were reported for every one hundred thousand people [1,000]. This earned the state the rank of being the 38th highest based on total Crime Index. With regard to Robbery, 17.2 related crimes were reported per 100,000 people, making it the 48th highest for Robbery. Theft was accounted for 2,206 times for each hundred thousand people in Idaho thus its standing of being the 35th highest among the states. Vehicle Theft took place one hundred sixty one times for every one hundred thousand [100,000] persons. Idaho is the 45th highest among the states founded on vehicle theft The type of car that topped the list of most stolen cars is the 1988 Toyota Pickup, followed by the 1992 Chevrolet Full Size C/K 1500 Pickup and the 1997 Ford F150 Series trailing as third. Other types of vehicles in the list are the following: 1988 Honda Civic,1989 Toyota Camry, 1995 Chevrolet Blazer, 1988 Ford Ranger, 2001 Pontiac Grand Am, and the 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier.
This is the reason why you must employ all possible means to be prepared if and when you are faced with the challenges of similar situations. This isn’t just about protecting your wealth alone but more importantly, it’s about ensuring your safety and that of your loved ones. Never underestimate the power of installing the right car alarms, and security systems because it might be what will save you in the future. It may sound like installing such is a mere overreaction but it is not. It’s a natural reaction to reality. Don’t forger that you deserve to be protected, and more significantly, you deserve to be safe.
