Who doesn’t know the Indiana Pacers? Well, you don’t even have to guess which state it represents right? It doesn’t take a genius to figure that out. Indiana is well-known for its athleticism. They have more than competitive sports teams that are making news not only countrywide but also worldwide. It is known nationally for its sports teams and athletic events. Once in a while, Indiana faces a totally different challenge, a challenge caused by nature itself. The state at certain periods experience winter storms and thunderstorms. It also has sporadic blizzards. Two of the most destructive snowstorms occurred in 1978 and in 2004. An average of 40 – 50 days of thunderstorms annually visit the state, the most crucial of the months are March and April. What’s worse is that Indiana, being a Great Lakes state, is the most attacked by tornadoes. Talk about “forces of nature.”

But natural disasters are not the only problems that Indiana has to take upon. Indiana ranks 29th for having a total Crime rate index of 3,751.9 reported incidents for every100,000 people. For each 100,000 people 676.1 Burglaries occurred, giving it the rank of 23rd amongst all the states. Moreover, for every 100,000 persons, 2379.9 theft incidents were reported. With regard to Robbery,103.3 crimes were recorded for every 100,000 inhabitants thus the rank of 24th highest for Robbery. For Vehicle Theft, the data is that for every 100,000 citizens 346.8 vehicle thefts were recorded. What types of vehicles were most often involved in these thefts?
