Whatever happened to Amelia Earheart? I have no idea but I do know that Amelia Earhart, the first woman who was granted a pilot's license by the National Aeronautics Associate and the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean, was from Atchison, Kansas. Dwight D. Eisenhower, the 34th President of the United States was also from Kansas. Last but my most favorite trivia is… the first branch of the world-renowned fast-food chain of Pizza Hut was opened in Wichita, Kansas. So, it can’t be denied that Kansas is quite a cool place, how can you go wrong if one of its citizens is the guy from whom the very famous graham cracker was named after? This is because Reverend Sylvester Graham strongly believe in eating whole weat flour products. Talk about advocacy! Another colorful character is probably the most popular fictional resident of Kansas, Dorothy of The Wizard of Oz.
Kansas houses an estimated population of 2,688,418 thus dubbing Kansas as the 32nd in the most-populated list. Kansas’ total Crime Index of 4,408.8 reported incidents for each 100,000 people earned it the 19th highest total Crime Index for the year 2000. In the aspect of Robbery, per 76.2 crimes were reported for every 100,000 people subsequent to such determination, Kansas ranked 34th in the Robbery ladder. There were 799.1 Burglaries per 100,000 people , which positioned Kansas as the state who’s standing is 17th compared to other the states. Vehicle Theft happened 241.6 times for every 100,000 residents, which made the state the 39th highest for vehicle theft. The hot cars in the eyes of these robbers are: 1987 Oldsmobile Cutlass, 1988 Chevrolet Full Size C/K 1500 Pickup, 1997 Ford F150 Series, 1994 Honda Accord, 1991 Chevrolet Caprice, 1996 Ford Taurus,1993 Pontiac Grand Am,1990 Buick Lesabre and the 1991 Chevrolet Blazer.
According to Dorothy, “There is no place like home.” It is true and the best gift that one can give to him / herself is the gift of a safe home. After being made aware of the dangers of the city, one must be swayed towards finally installing the correct car alarm or security system for you. the expenses that one might incur in doing such will be money very well spend especially because it will create a more relaxed and secure atmosphere. There’s nothing like being able to sleep quite soundly at night without having to worry about the existent dangers from the outside world because you know that you are protected. You can go about your daily tasks with the highly-coveted peace of mind that a lot of people are praying for. Be secure, be safe, be ready.
