Nevada Home Security Systems
The state of Nevada is located at the western part of United States. It is known as the Silver State of US because of the huge silver deposits discovered there long ago. Carson City stands as its capital while Las Vegas is one of its largest and most popular cities. Many people go to Nevada, particularly Las Vegas and some other metropolitan areas for leisure and relaxation purposes.
Nevada’s area of 110, 567 square miles ranks seventh among the states of US in terms of size. It also has a large population, most of which resides in the metropolitan areas of the state. Moreover, because of the culture and relationship issues in Nevada, it is known for its easy marriage proceedings, as well as divorce.
With Nevada’s population of 2.6 million (as of 2006), as well as the legalization of gambling and brothels in the place, it is not impossible to still have crimes in the state. Actually, among the crime occurrences in US, Nevada ranks as the 12th for murder, 8th for forced rape, 2nd for robbery and 21st for property crimes among the states of US with the highest reported crime incidents. On the other hand, Nevada ranks 2nd highest with a reported number of 659.2 per 100, 000 people in 2006 for vehicle theft, 34th highest in Larceny theft and 14th in burglary incidents.
When it comes to the burglary incidents, it is shown that the rate became higher since the year 2000. As a matter of fact, based on the 2006 statistics, there are already 877.1 burglaries for every 100, 000 people. That is why the security services of Nevada suggest that every home should have a home security system. These home security systems include sensors and alarms which would detect if a burglary enters one’s house. By doing this, the burglary crime rate in the state of Nevada would be lowered. Also, the security services advices each home to light up the front of the house or the patios so that burglaries could be noticed and caught easily.
All in all, the crime rate in Nevada is a serious issue because they tend to increase every year. That’s why the state’s government is improvising and designing more plans to keep the rate as low as possible to protect its people and their properties as well, example of which is the home security system mentioned earlier.
