New Jersey Home Security Systems
New Jersey is known as the Garden state of the US. Its capital is Trenton while its largest city is Newark. New Jersey is located at the northeastern part of US and was ranked as the 11th highest among the US states in terms of population and demography with a number of 8, 724, 560 inhabitants as of the year 2006. This population increase of 3.7 percent is said to be caused by the heightening net migration on the state. Also, most of New Jersey’s population could be seen in the Middlesex County in Milltown. Furthermore, its people are called New Jerseyan or New Jeryesite, while its abbreviations are NJ, N.J. and US-NJ.
New Jersey is also reported as the second wealthiest state in US with a median income of $66, 752. This was based on the report of the United States Census Bureau on 2006. This could be seen clearly on the state’s motto which is liberty and prosperity. Basically, New Jersey is paying much attention on its people and counties welfare as well. However, this fact does not exempt the state from having crime incidents and issues, matters that are quite hard to wipe out in every country and state. In fact, New Jersey was ranked as the 39th highest state with the largest crime index in 2006.
Among the crimes reported in New Jersey, robbery has the highest occurrence while forced rape has the lowest per 100, 000 people. Other reported crimes with their current standing among the states of US include crime against property ranked as the 40th highest, murder as the 30th highest, aggravated assaults as the 35th highest, burglaries as the 39th, larceny theft as the 42nd and vehicle theft as the 18th highest for every 100, 000 people in New Jersey. These numbers are all based from the reported crime incidents in the year 2006.
In general, the crime rate in the state of New Jersey has decreased compared from the reports from the previous years. This might be because of the different security measures that the government of New Jersey has been implementing on the state. Some of these measures include home security, upgraded locks, and home and car alarms that would help every individual in fighting against theft crimes and burglaries. Addition of lights and other car and home hazards are also encouraged by the government for greater safety.
