North Dakota Home Security Systems
North Dakota can be found in the Midwestern and Western regions of the United States of America. When it comes to the area of the state, it is the 19th largest state among all the states. They are also in the 48th rank of the highest population in United States. As of 2006, 640,000 people have been recorded living within the state. Carved out of the northern half of the Dakota Territory, North Dakota became a member of the Union on November 2, 1889 as the 39th state of United States of America.
Through the western state part, the Missouri River is flowing, forming Lake Sakakawea which is behind the Garrison Dam. Containing the lignite coal and oil is the hilly part of the state in the west. On the other hand, Red River, which is located in the east of North Dakota, causes the forming of Red River Valley that supports their farmland. Their way of living is through agricultural processes that are dominating the country’s economy.
Bismarck is the capital of North Dakota and Fargo is its largest city. There are public universities that can be seen in its largest city and in Grand Forks as well. The operation if United States Air Force is based at Grand Forks and Minot. Recently, the reported crime index of the state is lesser than the reported index in 2005. It is a good sign for the improving security of the state. The city in North Dakota with clean record as of 2005 is the Stanton city. That record is very glaring in the part of the government. On the other hand, it can be seen that there are 3 violent crimes in Harvey which is also a state of North Dakota. Unlike the other states that are present in the Union, the statistics of crime in North Dakota is of lower rate.
However, there are still some cities wherein lots of crimes are committed that led to the reaching of the crime index to 13,522. There are a total of 813 violent crimes that have been reported in 2006. 8 of it is murder, 193 forcible rapes, and 540 aggravated assaults. Furthermore, there are 2,923 cases of burglary in the state.
The state is still hoping to diminish the cases of crime and its rate in the years to come. People really have to protect themselves against those who commit crimes.
