Ohio Home Security Systems
Ohio is located at the Midwestern area of the United States. Ohio is a part of the Great Lakes region. For a very long time, it has been a geographical and cultural crossroads in North America. The Iroquois, Miamis, Shawnee and Wyandots are included to the Native Americans in Ohio. New England, Mid-Atlantic States, Appalachia, and the Upper South people are the settlers in the said state.
This state has been part of the North Central Region prior to 1984 United States Census Bureau and was split into divisions of two. Midwest was how it was called after the said consideration of the United States Census Bureau happened. Today, Ohio is placed in the division of East North Central States. When it comes to the population density, Ohio has the highest among different states but not on the Eastern Seaboard. In the U.S., the rank of this state when talking about population is seventh. Under the Northwest Ordinance, Ohio was the first admitted state to the Union. The postal abbreviation of the state is OH. Before, its abbreviation was O and it was an old style. Ohioans or Buckeyes are how the native people of this state are called.
In the year 2000, the crime index of Ohio reached 4,041.8 reported incidents. That rate is per 100,000 people and that left them to having the 26th rank to the highest crime index. They are placed in the 30th slot of highest violent crimes and the 22nd rank to the highest property crime rates. Forced rape crimes in Ohio topped 19th on the list and they are 18th on Robbery. They are 43rd in the position of aggravated assaults and the 18th in the standing of car burglaries. In the record of Larceny Theft of the state, they have the 26th rank and the 27th on vehicle theft rate.
Some of the crime rate in Ohio diminished in the year 2006 and it is a good sign for their economy and tourism. If people are not afraid of the crimes that occur in the place, the more income will enter to their state because of foreigners. Among the 11,478,006 population in 2006, 4,029 was the recorded crime index. Just recently, the ranks of vehicles that are subjected to burglary are as follows: 1994 Oldsmobile Cutlass, 1994 Dodge Caravan, 1993 Buick Century, 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier, 1994 Plymouth Voyager, 1996 Ford Taurus, 1996 Jeep Cherokee/Grand Cherokee and the 1990 Buick Le Sabre.
