Pennsylvania Home Security Systems
The abbreviation of the state of Pennsylvania is PA. The natives of this state and Northeasterners call it by its abbreviation. Located in the Northeastern and Middle Atlantic regions of the United States of America, Pennsylvania was known as the Keystone State because of its economic progress due to its agriculture and other industries. It is also called the Quaker state named after Quaker William Penn who ratified the First Frame of Government constitution for Pennsylvania which gives the guarantee in liberty of conscience.
Bordering Pennsylvania are the six other states namely: New York, New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland, West Virginia and lastly, Ohio. 40° North latitude was the real southern boundary of this state but the compromising of bad faith by Lord Baltimore in Cresap’s War resulted to the movement of boundary to 20 miles (32 km) south to 39° 43' N. Philadelphia is the capital of Pennsylvania and its capital is Harrisburg.
The estimated population of Pennsylvania in the year 2000 is 12,281,054 and they are the 6th among the states that have the highest population number. It can also be observed that in that year the crime rate rank is as follows: 23rd in the highest incidents of violent crimes, 43rd in the highest incidents of Property crimes, and the 24th in the highest rate of murder. In Forks Township, Pennsylvania, there are total of 17 violent crimes in 2005. There are some states that have fewer crimes that have been recorded but there are also some that has large crime index.
There are some initiatives and frameworks that the Pennsylvania Information Security Architecture has. The fist one is the governance in security so that the Information Security policies and architecture will evolve together with the Commonwealth’s Enterprise Architecture Governance process. The others are Security Policies, Information Sharing, Identity Protection and Access Management or IPAM, Security Assessment Framework, Cyber Security Exercise Program, Enterprise Security Technologies, and the Security Awareness Program.
It is noticeable that the Pennsylvania government is doing a lot to secure every aspect of their state and it takes them lots of money. It can be very well observed in their statistics that the crime rates goes down as time passes by. In 2005, the number of crime index in the state is 4,687. When it reached 2006, it went down to 3,952. It diminished a lot and it is a symbol of tightening of security all over the state.
