Rhode Island Home Security Systems
The official name of Rhode Island is the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations. It is located in the New England Region of the United States of America. When area will be talked, Rhode Island is the smallest. It is commonly called the Rhode Island because it is where the natives are used to. On the mainland of North America is where this state is mostly located. The Aquidneck Island which has the city of Newport and the towns of Middletown and Portsmouth has the official name Rhode Island and the Providence Plantations is referring to the mainland itself.
Rhode Island was the first one that declared independence from British colony among all the thirteen American colonies. The ratification of the United States Constitution was lastly made by the state. This state was also popularly known before as “Little Rhody” even if “the Ocean State” was its original nickname. They adopted it because almost one tenth of the inland in Rhode Island and all the places in the state are near the water’s edge.
The capital of this state is the Providence and it is also the largest city. Rhode Island ranked 50th in the largest among all the states and the 43rd when it comes to the number of population. With this little state in the US, and in a total of 1,067,610 of population, it is expected that the security can be very well provided by the government and amazingly, there is a great lowering of the number of crime rates in the said state. In the year 2000, Rhode Island is the 33rd among the states that have highest crime index. It diminished by almost 500 in 2005 and almost a hundred in 2006. It can be very well observed that the crime rates in the said state continue to go down from the record in 1996-2006. On the one hand, the population of the state also diminished after 10 years. In the National Crime Bureau statistics in 2005, Rhode Island is not included in the top ten states with the highest number of motorcycle thefts incidents.
There is also a list of other vehicle thefts in the US but it can be seen that Rhode Island usually does not rank in different crime rates. Basically, it is because that the island is so small and the population is not that big. However, the government should not take it very easy and should still protect the goodness of the lives of their people.
