Texas Home Security Systems
With a total land area of 268,820 sq. mi., the state Texas lies at the Central Southern part of the United States of America. Texas is also familiar to be called as the “Lone Star State” and having to be a global image of a cowboy because way back in its history, the state has already been known as the central capital of cattle industry of America. Its vast land consists of enormous desert areas, pine woods, oak forests and rolling wide plains. Primarily, Texas was not an independent state. It was first claimed by the Spaniards then it also became a part of Mexico.
When the year 1836 came in, independently it was declared as the Republic of Texas. During 1845, it was officially admitted as the 28th state of the United States of America. In the year 2006, Texas ranked second with the most number of population having 23,507,783. About 2.5% increase from the previous year and about 12.7% from the year 2000. Texas was reported to have a fast growing population each year. It was also noted in the reports the increase in the rate of illegal immigration in Texas which gives an output of a total of almost 5.4% of the total population of the state. Along with it is also the fast growing rate of the crimes.
Although the Crime Index Rate in Texas reached 4,598 incidents per 100,000 people, it is considered to be the lowest count since the year 1996. Violent crime rate is 516 incidents per 100,000 people which include 6 Murder incidents per 100,000 people, 36 Forced Rape incidents per 100,000 people, 158 Robbery incidents per 100,000 people, and 316 Aggravated Assault incidents per 100,000 people. Property crime rate is also as high as 4,082 incidents per 100,000 people. That includes 917 burglary incidents per 100,000 people, 2,758 Larceny theft incidents per 100,000 people and 406 Vehicle theft incidents per 100,000 people.
Each result was significantly lower from the reports of the previous years. It maybe because residents of Texas state were more precautious about these matters than they were in the former years but their being precautious are still needed to be empowered and still needed to be increased. There are still a lot of things they could do and accomplish in order to lessen, and if possible remove totally the prevalence of crimes in their state. Much can still be done if everyone is determined.
