Washington Home Security Systems
Washington is a state on the Pacific Coast in the northwestern United States. Seattle is the largest city and in important center for manufacturing and trade. Spokane and Tacoma are the second and the third largest cities. Olympia is the state capital. The state of Washington covers 176,479 square kilometers. The state is famous for its breathtaking scenery. Lush green lowlands surround the Puget Sound in western Washington. A flat semi-desert land stretches across a large portion of eastern Washington. Mountain ranges rise in northwestern, southwestern, northeastern, and central Washington. Mount Rainier, in the Cascades, rises near the center of the state.
Regarding its economy, wholesale and retail trade form the leading economic activity in Washington. The state is closer to Asian ports than most other parts of the United States, so foreign trade is especially important. Both Seattle and Tacoma began chiefly as ports for shipping timber. Later, the two cities became shipping centers for trade with Alaska. Washington is also the leading center of the aircraft and space industry. It is also a leading shipbuilding center. But despite of the state’s booming and uprising status in the area of trading, still the fact of having problems with crimes, affect the image of the whole state.
Washington State was estimated to have a population size of 6,396,798 individuals during the last updated report of 2006. With the fast increasing population size, crimes of different sorts are already prevalent. The Index of Crimes reached up to 5,826 for every 100,000 people. Violent Crime Rate was noted to have 346 incidents for every 100,000 people. Property Crime Rate was noted to have 4,480 incidents for every 100,000 people, considering that it is the lowest count in ten years time since 1996. Under the category Violent Crimes, there are 4 divisions that comprise it: 3 incidents of Murder, 43 incidents of Forced Rape, 100 incidents of Robbery and 200 incidents of Aggravated Assault. Under the category of Property Crimes, there are 3 divisions that comprise it namely: 912 incidents of Burglary, 2,851 incidents of Larceny Theft and 718 incidents of Vehicle Theft.
All incident counts are for every 100,000 people. Solutions to the state’s crime problems are just around the corner waiting to be done so that peace and prosperity of each and every individual can reign. Solutions are of variety but every resident should have the strong will to achieve their ultimate goal of eliminating such crimes.
