I grew up in southern California where the crime rate is much high then the Midwest. Where I used to live everyone and their dog had a security alarm for the home. Now I live in the Midwest and everyone has so much trust in each other. So when I purchased a home I elected not to purchase a security alarm for the home. Wow, that turned out to be a mistake. Within six months after purchasing my new home my house was broken into while I was at work. The got away with everything worth anything. It’s a terrifying situation to be in; you and your family don’t feel safe anymore. You start to take more precautions then necessary.
Don’t end up like me and become a statistic. I can assure you one thing; after it happens to you money is no more an issue. You start buying security equipment that is completely necessary to try and feel safe in your home again.
The cheapest way to get a security alarm for the home is to purchase one through a reputable company like ADT. I would also include the monthly monitoring so the authorities can be contacted in case of an alert while you are at work.
